At Pathways, we understand that managing your checking account also means managing your budget, and avoiding fees that come from unexpected expenses and other financial challenges. We have several options available to you, our member, to protect your account from unexpected overdrafts so you can swipe your debit card with confidence.
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway.
We can cover your overdrafts in three different ways:
- Standard overdraft practices that come with your consumer checking account
- Overdraft protection plans, such as linking to a savings account
- Extended Coverage for ATM and debit card transactions, which provides overdraft coverage for ATM and everyday debit card transactions.
What fees will I be charged if Pathways Financial Credit Union pays my overdraft?
Under our standard overdraft practices and extended coverage for ATM and everyday debit card transactions:
We will charge you a Courtesy Pay fee of $19.00 each time we pay an overdraft.
There is a limit of five (5) overdraft fees per day on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account.
