Join us for local Wine and Art at Local Expressions in Marysville on May 10, 2018

Local Expressions

Join Pathways on Thursday, May 10, 2018 as we celebrate our local Marysville treasures at our new Local Expressions event. Enjoy local wine from Dalton Union Winery, and art from local artists from local artists Hope Burger and Matt Moberly. Pathways Financial Credit Union will host the event at our Marysville branch, 121 Emmaus Rd. Admission is free.

About The Artists

Hope Burger

Hope Burger has a B.A. in Fine Arts and will begin a Masters in Art Therapy this fall. She works in mixed media, incorporating used tea bags, and develops her figures through paint, ink, pencil, and additional media using brushes, fingers, eyedroppers, and palette knives. Hope’s expressive artwork is a storytelling process with a nod to folk art. Her artwork was shown and sold recently at the Midnight at Moonville event in McArthur, and at the Amazing Cat Show at the 400 West Rich Art Gallery in Columbus.

Matt Moberly

Matt Moberly draws inspiration from the seasons, landscapes, mountains, and rivers. He lived in Fairbanks, Alaska (where he was named the Chamber of Commerce Artist of the Year), for 48 years. Matt and his wife moved to Marysville in 2017 to be closer to his grandchildren. He is a new teacher at the Marysville Art League, and finds it rewarding to teach and pass on what he’s learned. “Every day I count myself fortunate to observe, create, and put our scenery down on paper,” he says.

About The Wine

Dalton Union Winery is a true Marysville treasure. Combining winecraft and a welcoming hospitality in a country atmosphere, it is a favorite destination for natives and visitors.
